About Carlos J. Amespil - Managing Director & President
Carlos is a distinguished senior executive with over two decades of experience in operations management within the hospitality industry. Renowned for his strategic acumen and visionary leadership, he has a proven track record of successfully driving complex business initiatives. His expertise spans strategic planning, operational turnarounds, financial analysis, and divestiture strategies. Carlos is particularly adept at spearheading organizational transformations, achieving operational excellence, and delivering substantial returns on investment in both industry and consulting roles.
Before joining Glexco, Carlos held senior leadership positions with several prominent hospitality organizations. As Vice President of Operations and Regional Director of Operations for Wolfgang Puck Catering and Eurest Dining Services (divisions of Compass Group), he oversaw high-profile retail clients and led successful turnarounds of underperforming assets. He also held executive roles at Urth Caffe, Auberge Resorts, and Piatti Restaurant Company, among other hospitality groups, where he honed his skills in managing diverse operational concepts, optimizing profitability, and guiding teams toward sustained success.
Carlos holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management. He has further advanced his expertise through the International Business Program at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Strategy & Execution Executive Program at Stanford University, and the Leadership & Entrepreneurial Executive Program at Harvard University. A respected leader in his field, Carlos is also a member of the California Receivers Forum.
